MEGABUCKS FANCY LADY
Fancy was turned into a shelter in early 2008 and left to be alone and without love. She had flea dermatitis, her hair was gone, her legs were bare, she needed a fair amount of care.

She had been raised in a what I thought was a loving home and she had been spayed. As a pup she was shown and did well and received her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. Her life looked wonderful. Then Helen Woodruff ended up in a mess with too many dogs, birds, cats and even a horse. She couldn't take care of them. She forgot we had a contract, so instead of calling me, who would always take home a dog she took her with Leti to the Sacramento SPCA, then to NorCal Aussie Rescue and a wonderful woman named Kim. Someone saw her kennel name posted on the rescue site and called me, I immediately called Kim and set up an appointment to pick her up and bring Fancy to her last and forever home. Today she came back to Megabucks Ranch in Nevada.
She acquainted herself with the herd and got to meet my grandson who is staying with us. Somehow it was love at first sight. Two year old Austin and almost 10 year old Fancy shared snacks on the couch. We had snuggles, loves and extra hugs from Austin and you can see Fancy yawning in relaxation and acceptations.
She is home, she will be medicated to help her coat and her skin and she will be loved by humans and dogs in the house. She will never have to worry about a new home again.
| Please enjoy a few quickly taken pictures of Fancy and Austin. She had been here less than an hour. She knows her home! | |

UPDATE Below is Fancy on a warm June day 2008. My grandson re-named her Fancy Pants. She now has hair all over her body. It is growing well and now we can use a comb on her. She has flesh over her bare bones and has no more bald spots. She has settled in, had her 10th birthday with us, and is a special girl. She still sleeps with us at night, but she no longer has to wrap herself around my head. That works fine as 2 other dogs like to share the nightly bed too. The pictures were taken in Fancy's favorite place, the comforter on the bed. She is Queen of the bed. |
