it has been a week and a day, and we have another puppy (or kind of a puppy), check below and see what has been added to the crew.  It has been a quiet week, they eat, they squeak and they grow, and grow and grow.  Mom is still such a good mom, but she is spending more time away from the puppies.

Black Tri Female, 1 lb 6 oz  -  She is still lovely, the smallest of the of the batch, but that becomes a lovely lady.  Her collar will be full, we gave you an extra shot to see her nice collar.  Her nose is turning black and her copper is darkening.  This will be one lovely lady when she grows to be a show potential girl.

Blue Merle Male, 1 lb 13 oz  --  He still has most interesting color.  Note the very dark copper and the left eye will show eyeliner.  We still think this little boy will be available for a companion home.  Note that his little pink nose only has a little bit of black..

Black Tri Male, 1 lb 10 oz  --  Chet, your boy is still looking good and growing into himself.  He is still your show prospect and he still looks like his father.  This boy was the easiest to photograph, he was dead asleep and since I was quick, it made it easy.  Chet, think of a name.  He needs a name that will shine in the show ring, just as he will.

Blue Merle Male, 1lb 13 oz  --  His color is still interesting.  I am waiting for his eyes to open to see if he has any blue to compliment that coloring. He still is dramatic in his coloration, and we gave you a good look at his back.  Note that it look like someone drew a line down his back and colored each side separately.

Red Merle Female, 1 lb 12 oz  --  Oh, she is SO pretty.  She looks so much like her grand mother.  Her ears are starting to color with the soft merleing of her body, her copper is dark, her collar is full and look at her tiny little feet sticking out behind her in the right photo.  She is a darling and I feel drawn to her.  She will have to be watched to see how she develops.

Black Tri Male, 1 lb 6 oz  -  We held him up so you all could see that he has a white chest and he is not all black.  His copper is also quite dark and I just love that right leg that will be dark copper with a little white tipped paw peeking out.  His nose has colored the most.  This male will be a great companion for someone.  He has class and style, I know that, even now :o))

Blue Merle Male, 1 lb 9 oz  -  He still is a soft silver and we are just anxious to see what he looks like when he is a fluffy winter puppy.  Look at all that dark copper.  He has a nice collar and a nicely marked face.  His nose is just starting to color.  The merles always color before the non merles.  He was a good boy too, he was asleep for the pictures, but then he did wake up to scream as he received his first nail trimming.

Light burlap base coat with a dark liver frill, 3 oz  -  Note, nose is already black, but his weight is so slight, he must not be eating well.  OK, so I didn't expect to have an additional puppy.  I went to the store and brought back a few toys for the OTHER dogs so they didn't feel left out, and they could feel they received the extra attention.  There were two of these little toys and a few bones and balls.  Liz decided that these toys were hers.  Since she is in the house and her barrier to get to the rest of the dogs is only a kiddy gate, she can get out when she wishes.  The first day of the toys, she gathered both of these toys.  I proceeded to take both back to the crew.  Liz was immediately out to take back her "Babies".  It was an on and off battle for two days.  On the second day, one toy was absconded by the other dogs, and was de-stuffed, we had toy guts all over the living room, but Liz was protecting her additional baby.  Guess it is just part of the litter.  Thing is, I don't think it will get any bigger, and I do wonder what will happen as the litter ages.

Liz with her puppies and that darned toy.  Note she has her "baby" under her paw at the top of the photo.  She keeps it safe under her paws, and if I toss it into the bedroom, she quickly jumps over her gate and carries her "baby" gently back to the whelping pool.  She has an obsession for the stuffed toy.  It is cute, but also different.
