A puppy is not always the answer, make sure you check out a rescue too.
You usually don't have to house break them and most are very loving, the sanctuary checks this out for you. They might fit well into your home, especially if you have time issues and may have to be gone away from home some extra time.

| This is Fancy and her friend Leti at the SPCA | This is Fancy and Leti outside the cage, in a better light. | Terry is on the left with Fancy in his lap. I am on the right with our Maddie. We took Maddie to help keep Fancy company on the way home. |
| Fancy was our dog, she was born at
Megabucks and spent several years visiting her mother and father and the
other dogs at the ranch. This is Fancy's
Page showing her as a puppy, he father whom we still have, her
mother at the bridge and pictures of her as a younger dog when she came
for a visit. I am very thankful to Teresa King at the Sacramento
SPCA for recognizing my kennel name and getting Fancy to Kim Kuenlen at
NorCal Aussie Rescue,
http://www.norcalaussierescue.com/ . As soon as we found out
Fancy was there we contacted Kim quickly so we could pick up Fancy.
We arrived on 3/6/2008 to pick our girl up and we took our show girl
Megabucks Mad About Red "Maddie", so we would have company on the way
home, it worked well. Kim is the most wonderful person, she has a great area for the dogs with a view that goes on forever. You sit on a raised deck with the dogs loose coming forward to check you out. She knows her dogs and knows her homes. She is in it for the dogs. |

| SPCA - A place where animals are dropped off, dumped or impounded when their owners either can not or will not keep them. |
| RESCUE/SANCTUARY - One step up where animals are given to the organization either by their owners or moved from the SPCA. The owner of the Rescue/Sanctuary evaluates these dogs to make sure they are ready for re-homing and check out their personalities to make sure they find the right home and the right placement that is best for them. These are run by dedicated people that put all their energy into finding a good home for those in their care. |
| BREEDER NOTE - Remember that when you are a breeder that the puppy you put on the ground is yours from the day it is whelped until the day it passes to the Rainbow Bridge. If YOUR dog gets into any trouble, it is YOUR responsibility to take this dog back to your kennel and become part of your kennel again, the kennel where it was whelped. You bring life, you care for it forever! |
