MEGABUCKS Royal Flush, CD CGC "Reno"
The story of the passing of a wonderful Aussie
Marcia wanted me to let you know that she decided to have Reno put to sleep yesterday. He had a large tumor on his spleen. It was obvious that he had bled a bunch because his abdomen was very large and hard. It was probably hemangiosarcoma. Anyway, I went with her last night to Adobe and we were sat there on the floor with him. We gave him lots of love and treats, although he wouldn't eat much. He went very peacefully. Although Reno was somewhat of a butthead sometimes with his dog aggressiveness, he was a really smart dog and a great companion for Marcia and her family. Reno and Star grew up together, and my first memory of Reno was at Marcia's first PASA meeting at my house. Reno and Star were only about 12 weeks old. Their puppy tempers flared and they got into a big fight with all the PASA members watching. We had to separate them. I remember seeing Glen Stimpson with a look on his face like, " oh, those kids!". Another favorite thing about Reno for me was when he'd want to play with a dog, he would rear up in front of the dog, like a horse. It was so funny to see! And those ears!! Marcia will be scoring for us at the agility trial this weekend. She thought it would be good to be around the "dog people", because after all, dog people are just the BEST! So, if you see Marcia this weekend, please give her a bit of TLC.
